Memberships

Memberships are "family" inclusive, meaning if a Parent joins, any children under the age of 18 are also considered members, but must be accompanied by the parent(s) while using the club facilities.

Memberships start in June and dues are prorated as the year goes-on. Membership dues are $70.00 a year. New members also pay a one time "initiation fee" of $100.00. We do require new members to belong to the NRA, the ONLY organization fighting for our rights and keeping this sport alive.

Our club runs solely on a member volunteer basis, meaning that ALL events are run by members volunteering time to help make them possible. Also, all of the club maintenance is handled by members as well, such as painting, cleaning, general maintenance, etc. Because of this, we require ALL members to agree to giving 12 hours a year to the club. This can be broken-up into several days over the course of the year. Your time may be spent pulling or scoring at an event or two, or you may want to slap some paint here and there or pound a few nails to keep the benches sturdy, you may want to help run the kitchen for a day at one of our events or you may find that you can help-out in some other way. Either way, it all counts as time volunteered. Members may also have a family member help or take their place which we honor as time volunteered. It’s actually pretty easy and the time goes fast, especially if a spouse or other family member comes along to help. Example: you agree to help at a shoot, you do your part by helping to load the traps with clay birds and later-on you pull and score for the shooters. Meanwhile, your spouse or child is helping in the kitchen for lunch. BOTH your time AND the time your family member works counts towards the total time. So if you worked 4 hours that day as did your family member (or a friend) in the kitchen, YOU get credited for an entire 8 hour day. Like we said, it's really simple and it goes by fast.

We do excuse elderly an handicapped members, but even those members usually end up helping us in other ways. There are lots of members that donate WAY more than 12 hours a year to the club and in many different ways. Some members have businesses or equipment that we may donate at certain times, which to us, counts as volunteering time. Some people donate goods for events while others may haul our garbage to the dumps with our trailer. Some members come out and split our wood for our fireplace and others may bring a tractor to smooth-out the gravel on our roads. There's lots of big and little jobs for everyone and when everyone helps... our club not only looks great but runs great too!

For certain members that refuse to volunteer the time they promised us when they signed-up to become a member, we fine them $150 when their dues come-up again. If they don't pay the fine, their membership and club privileges are terminated without the possibility of renewal. It isn’t fair to everyone else when a handful of members just sit back and let everyone else do their work. We do allow members to simply pay for their memberships dues PLUS the fine ($220.00 total) and be free of having to volunteer their time, but we rely on volunteers to make this club work and would rather have the help than the money.

When you become a member, it becomes YOUR club. We hope you’ll use it and enjoy it as if it were your own.

Membership privileges include:
Club usage 7 days a week (all you pay is $15.00 per case of targets, except Sundays)
Discounted shooting fees ($2.50 trap, $10.00 sporting clays)
The ability to purchase reloading components and supplies right at the club
The ability to rent the club house for private parties and events
The ability to participate in member only events
